Hi there. My good friend Anthony asked if I would be up for sharing some fat loss information with you on his new blog. I am

thrilled to! Anthony is a great person and a highly intelligent and motivating

fellow fitness expert who has cutting edge ideas and knowledge to share. So it’s a big bonus to be able to share some of my information with you on his blog.
Ok. My name is Tristan Lewis. I am a fitness pro, having worked in numerous countries around the world in the last 15 years. I’m in America now. Right that’s enough about me; you can read more at myblogs if you’re interested. But here we go with a discussion I find myself having a heck of a lot with my female clients.
Now in our society it seems we all have a fair idea of what a ‘typical’ fit female body should look like. The lean muscle, toned and shapely figure and athletic trim build is desired by almost all women. Nowof course body ‘type’ and shape do determine a woman’s own persona look, but essentially almost all women have capacity to really transform their bodies and get results that genuinely can and willsurprise them.
But the problem actually is that 90% of ladies still train incorrectly. Now this article is going to focus on 1 part of a two part jigsaw to female body transformation. I’ll spell out the facts to allow any woman to change their body no matter age, build, current hormonal ‘imbalances’, menopause, etc.
Simply put all women who want to transform their bodies into anything from a sexy, model likephysique to thrill their boyfriends or husbands as well as themselves – to a fitter body for increased athletic performance need to:
1) Burn off more calories than they take in (create an energy imbalance)2) Train correctly with the goal of stimulating lean muscle – NOT slaving away for 40 minutes on a treadmill.
Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and a place for long form cardio. I have clients use it a lot and those training for marathons or endurance sport would be remiss not to implement it. But the fact is that inthe most simple terms, if a woman has her diet down (which is not discussed here in detail but will be at my blogs and Anthony’s) then they then need to get their training correct and stimulate lean musclegrowth that actually is then the tool that burns calories – not just during a workout but importantly for up to 48 hours after you leave a gym.
In a typical fitness club or gym you’ll see people hammering away on the treadmill or the elliptical glaring at TV’s or listening to music. Fine, but if these people want to see real change, and if the ladiesin question want to transform their bodies, they need to focus on exercises and training that is not just more exciting but actually will get you out of the gym in less time than those who are still on thetreadmill 40 minutes later.
The type of training I talk about and Anthony will tell you about is the use of things like:
  • High intensity Interval Training (can actually be done on cardio machines)
  • Free weight fat burning circuits
  • Timed exercise patterns
  • Muscle failure sets (the ladies in my bootcamps love these – honest!)
  • Super set exercises
  • Intensity Circuit Session
  • And much more…

But the point of all this is that by all means a woman can spend 1 session a week if they wish on those cardio machines, but for the purpose of true fat loss, body re-shaping and sculpting and the pursuit of afemale body that is absolutely possible and mirrors that of the fitness models you see on magazines and impresses the men of course, you need to change up the workouts, challenge your muscles and train in a way that maybe you have not done yet. BUT I can guarantee this type of training will give you a new energy and excitement in your fitness lifestyle. And give incredible results – guaranteed.
Remember, varied training is not by any means reserved for athletes. It’s the way a body adapts and changes, grows and transforms.
You’ve all heard the definition of madness: “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Well the reality is that stepping off a treadmill, challenging your body with new excitingworkouts alongside a sensible eating plan will deliver you the body you deep down inside know you can have.

But let me share with you a comment I heard in the gym just this morning. A trainer was telling his client how his own in-laws were complaining about their lack of health or success in their training. Essentially he shook his head and told his client that he is forever shocked at the stunned look on people’s faces when he tells them that body transformation and a new body require not just short term commitment but a whole new lifestyle change.This is not something we do for a few weeks then chill. You either want to change your body and your life or you don’t.
But if you do, then it makes sense to use what works and not waste time and get demoralized on a treadmill for 40 minutes every session and wonder when your ‘perfect body’ will show.
Throw new things at your body and get on the path to training for new, fat burning lean muscle. A woman will never get ‘big or bulky’ so forget that fallacy right here. The simple fact is that all women with great bodies do not spend every session on a treadmill. That’s a fact and the one I hope you can take from this and use to your advantage.
Your capable of so much more and the body you have will transform in equal measure to the varied challenges you give it.
